Fly the flag for the Day of Finnish Visual Art

On 7 April 2017, the Ministry of the Interior in Finland has
recommended birthday of Helene Schjerfbeck (also The Day of Finnish Visual Art) on 10 July for flagging day.

Flying the flag highlights the importance of visual art and strengthens its appreciation of the cultural life in Finland. By the same date, we also want to raise the number of flagging days in honor of women in Finland: now there is only one day.

The Day of Finnish Visual Art has been celebrated since year 2004 on 10th July. The Finnish Watercolor Society and Schjerfbeck-sällskapet i Ekenäs rf have taken the actions to celebrate this day originally.

The Finnish Watercolor Society and Schjerfbeck-sällskapet i Ekenäs hopes that art museums, gallerys and että ciizens in Finland would fly the flag for The Day of Finnish Visual Art.
